The Nappy Buddy came from a very simple thought: surely I don’t need to take the whole nappy bag every single time I leave the house? 😅
As a mum, I’d gotten so used to packing for every possible scenario. Nappies, wipes, changes of clothes, snacks, bottles, toys… the list goes on.
And of course, there are days when you genuinely need all of it.
But then there are the quick trips.
A coffee run. A walk. Ducking into the shops. Daycare pickup. The park.
I wanted something I could grab without packing half the house, but that still held the essentials I actually needed.
And that’s where the Nappy Buddy Belt Bag started.
A Smaller Bag for the Everyday Stuff
I wanted to create a compact baby bag that made those little everyday outings easier.
Enough room for a nappy, wipes and the essentials, without carrying a full-sized bag around when I didn't need one.
But just as importantly, I wanted it to feel like something I would actually choose to wear.
Not obviously a nappy bag. Not bulky. Not something I'd immediately stop using once we were out of the baby stage.
Just a really good belt bag that happened to make life with a baby much easier.
Less Stuff, Less Mental Load
One thing motherhood has taught me is that sometimes the smallest changes make the biggest difference.
Having the Nappy Buddy ready to grab meant one less decision before leaving the house.
I didn't need to unpack and repack my main bag. I didn't need to carry more than I needed. And I wasn't digging through a giant bag at the change table looking for one nappy that had somehow disappeared to the bottom. 🙃
Everything had its place.
Grab it. Throw it on. Go.
Simple, but genuinely game-changing for my everyday routine.
Designed for Beyond the Baby Stage
This was really important to me when creating the Nappy Buddy.
I didn't want to design another product with a short lifespan.
Yes, it's a small nappy bag designed to make the baby years easier. But once you don't need nappies anymore, it doesn't suddenly become redundant.
It becomes your everyday belt bag. Keys, phone, wallet, sunnies, snacks. Perfect for walks, travel, the shops, weekends and all those moments when you want your hands free.
That idea of creating products that grow with you is such a big part of what we want HuddoCo to be.
Because the baby stage might be temporary, but a beautifully designed, genuinely useful bag shouldn't have to be 🤍
